NYU Technology Opportunities & Ventures (TOV), in collaboration with BioLabs@NYU Langone, hosted its 3rd Annual Investor & Innovator Exchange (IXI) on October 6 at Innolabs in Long Island City. This premier annual networking event convened innovative life sciences founders with investors, operators, and strategic partners working to accelerate the next generation of biotech and healthcare companies.

This year’s IXI focused on three areas shaping the future of medicine, health, and human performance: Oncology & Next-Generation Therapeutics, Longevity & the Future of Aging, and Women’s Health. The event created a focused forum for emerging companies and ecosystem leaders in these spaces to explore investment opportunities, strategic collaborations, mentorship, and partnerships.

The day’s programming included welcome remarks, a keynote address, investor introductions and company flash pitches across all three tracks, dedicated speed-dating sessions, a panel discussion, and a closing reception. Together, the format encouraged both structured engagement and informal networking among founders, investors, corporate partners, and other members of New York’s growing life sciences community.

Twelve selected companies delivered rapid-fire pitches, giving attendees a front-row view of promising technologies and businesses across the three themes. Presenting founders also took part in a curated speed-networking format, meeting one-on-one with investors and industry experts. These conversations were designed to foster meaningful connections and provide companies with direct access to the capital, operational expertise, and strategic relationships needed to advance their work.

Oncology & Therapeutics

NeoSplice Therapeutics

NeoSplice Therapeutics is expanding the universe of cancer drug targets. Most genes produce many proteoforms, but conventional discovery tools average them away, leaving a hidden layer of tumor biology unexplored. Using AI and orthogonal multiomic validation, NeoSplice reads this hidden layer of biology to identify cancer-specific proteoforms on the tumor cell surface. These targets are invisible to gene-level discovery but reachable by T-cell engagers and other mAb modalities, opening a new class of precision oncology medicines.

Omios Biologics

mios’ mission is to decode what viruses have learned through evolution and translate those insights into more selective medicines that deliver durable benefits for patients. As drug target attrition has risen 70% since pre-pandemic levels, contributing to shrinking pipelines and intensifying competition, Omios’ Discovery Engine (ODE) uses viral intelligence and AI-enabled computation to discover and validate novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers across diseases and modalities. These discoveries have supported the development of systemic, biomarker-guided oncolytic virus therapies at City of Hope, bringing precision medicine to oncolytic virus therapy and addressing resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Omios is now pursuing co-development opportunities while building a proprietary pipeline, initially focused on oncology and autoimmune diseases.

Synthis Therapeutics, Inc

SYN303 is a first in class, non cytotoxic antibody drug conjugate (ADC) that safely reverses fibrosis in cancer and fibrotic diseases.

Vitarka Therapeutics Ltd

itarka Therapeutics is developing next-generation Degrader Antibody Complexes (DACs) designed to overcome key limitations of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), including linker instability, endosomal trapping, and on-target off-tumour toxicity. Its proprietary EndoPore platform combines masked antibodies with a linker-free intracellular delivery system capable of active endosomal escape, enabling dual tumour selectivity and efficient cytosolic delivery of therapeutic payloads.

Longevity & Aging

AminoSense, Inc

AminoSense is a metabolic intelligence company developing novel amino acid analytical tools. These include laboratory reagent kits and the first point-of-care biosensor for real-time monitoring of circulating amino acids. By making laboratory-grade protein testing more readily available and cost-effective, our platform provides the biological data needed to better preserve muscle mass, optimize nutrition, and advance healthy aging.

CaroRhythm

CaroRhythm is revolutionizing the post-stroke care landscape by addressing a critical gap in continuity of care: the lack of follow-ups and vascular health monitoring for stroke survivors after hospital discharge. We are developing CaroSense, a noninvasive wearable medical device that monitors key stroke risk indicators in the outpatient setting. CaroSense pairs with our software platform to provide survivors, care partners, and clinicians with real-time stroke risk analysis and notify them of the early onset of recurrent stroke. We get survivors to the hospital early, while they are still eligible for life-saving drug treatments, which improves patient outcomes, decreases hospital length-of-stay, and reduces readmission rates.

Hayflick Therapeutics Inc.

Hayflick Therapeutics is developing healthspan therapies to slow cellular aging. Our flagship asset is a first-in-class approach to skin longevity. We are currently advancing toward an FDA-approved topical treatment for age-related structural skin change. Hayflick’s therapeutic is a low-dose topical drug designed to modulate a key regulator of cellular aging and restore healthier dermal scaffolding via improved fibroblast health.

SonoVoice, Inc.

1/3 of older Americans (60+) experience age-related voice problems, resulting in isolation, reduced QoL, and difficulty communicating. SonoVoice is building a portable diagnostic AI platform for ENT clinics, where specialized voice care begins. Our medical device and software objectively measure changes in vocal function across aging, disease, and recovery. By combining multimodal measurements (acoustics, airflow, and pressure) with AI-assisted analysis, SonoVoice can establish a richer functional baseline, identify meaningful changes, and track how the voice evolves over time. Starting in ENT voice clinics, SonoVoice is creating the clinical foundation for lifelong vocal-health monitoring.

Women’s health

Femmli

Femmli is building continuous hormone monitoring for the 45M+ women in the U.S. (500M+ globally) navigating perimenopause, one of healthcare’s largest blind spots, where 40% of women are misdiagnosed at their first medical visit. Our wearable biosensor patch pairs with an AI-powered app to translate hormonal fluctuations into real-time insights and personalized action plans. Think continuous glucose monitoring, for hormonal health.

Tessering Biosciences

Tessering Biosciences is a biotech startup developing small-molecule therapeutics and computational tools to advance women’s health. Our lead asset is a once-weekly, hormone-free oral contraceptive: to mitigate side effects and improve convenience for the most prevalent pharmaceutical need. Our pipeline is fueled by computational innovation in nuclear hormone receptor modulation, to better understand and address the biological differences that drive the differential and disproportionate burden of disease experienced by women.

Upsilon Health

Upsilon Health is building the only hormone and copper-free IUD in development. The original version of the IUD was designed by the grandfather of Upsilon’s Founder, and was used successfully by over 50,000+ patients in 16+ clinical studies globally for decades. The Upsilon IUD is a long-acting, reversible contraceptive, with a different MOA and without the high levels of discomfort associated with current IUDs, providing women around the world with more contraceptive choice.

Concipio Fertility

The intelligent OS for fertility clinics: better clinical outcomes, lower cost per cycle, a transformed patient experience.
