Born in San Juan Puerto Rico, Audie O. Cruz Garcia has been working for sponsored projects for over 10 years. Audie moved to New York City at the age of 25 to pursue a professional career and started his path as a data coordinator for Columbia University. While at Columbia, he pursued a master’s degree in Information and Digital Resource Management. Cruz worked at Columbia University for 5 years as a senior financial analyst, and his time there provided a shift in focus from technology to sponsored project management in the pre-award process.

Cruz started working for NYU as a financial analyst in 2018, with a concentration on the post-award process of sponsored projects. His role provided opportunities to branch out and shift into the data and reporting aspects of the business, which led to his current role as senior database analyst for Technology Opportunities and Ventures.
