NYU Technology Opportunities & Ventures Introduces GooseFarmAI: Purpose-Built AI for Managing Innovation

NYU Technology Opportunities & Ventures (TOV), the innovation management office serving NYU Langone Health and New York University, has developed GooseFarmAI, a new enterprise AI platform specifically designed to help organizations accelerate innovation commercialization.

Built by TOV in partnership with NYU Langone Health’s world-class AI development team at MCIT, GooseFarmAI is set to launch as a production-ready platform in mid-November 2026. It features a suite of specialized AI agents designed to streamline the day-to-day, document-intensive work. By accelerating tasks such as disclosure drafting, marketing collateral, time-intensive market research, and contract-related workflows, the platform helps teams improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and focus more of their time on building partnerships and advancing promising innovations toward commercialization to maximize social and economic impact.

According to data from AUTM, the global professional organization for innovation management, innovation disclosures continue to rise year over year, even as licensing teams face growing pressure to manage increasing volumes with staff capacity. GooseFarmAI streamlines the document-intensive work of commercialization while keeping managers in control at every step. It helps professionals process more information without adding headcount, transforming today’s backlog into tomorrow’s licenses and startups that bring novel therapies, software, technologies, and other innovations to market.

The platform’s initial suite includes three agents:

Disclosure Agent – Generates a structured invention disclosure draft within minutes from manuscripts, slide decks, notes, and other source materials, saving researchers hours. It supports multi-document ingestion, entity extraction, and duplicate detection while prompting users to address key information gaps involving funding, ownership, and conflicts of interest.

Marketing Brief Agent – Converts disclosures and publications into audience -tailored, publishable non-confidential briefs with contact information and IP status automatically populated, allowing outreach to interested industry partners faster and easier.

Market Research Agent – Builds customized market briefs and curated sources that include market snapshots, patent landscapes, regulatory considerations, and potential partner lists. This agent saves innovation managers 15-20 hours of research, producing actionable results in as little as five minutes.

The combination of these three agents creates incredible efficiencies for innovation and business development managers, resulting in a more thorough discussion with researchers and clinicians and an ability to get to decision points weeks or months faster than the current approach. The success of the initial class of agents led directly to additional process improvement agents for future GooseFarmAI releases.

While other AI solutions serve broad enterprise needs, GooseFarmAI is purpose-built for the operational realities, confidentiality requirements, and strategic priorities of information-intensive institutions.

“TOV is the world’s leader in developing AI tools for technology transfer, improving workflows and efficiencies that matter most, helping institutions evaluate, protect, and advance innovations,” said Marc Sedam, Vice President of TOV. “Tech transfer teams must move quickly, navigate complex information, safeguard institutional intellectual property, and build the partnerships that bring important discoveries to the public. We built GooseFarmAI because these professionals need tools designed around their real-world workflows, not generic AI retrofitted for commercialization. I think these tools can be broadly used across organizations for applications beyond tech transfer, including due diligence on research investments, analysis of complex legal documents, and even helping research collaborations find unmet needs.”

GooseFarmAI is designed as an AI decision-support layer that complements, not replaces, databases and existing systems of record. It supports Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on, encrypted data in transit, configurable sessions, and flexible deployment, including within an institution’s own Azure or AWS environment. Customer data is not used to train AI models, institutions retain ownership of their inputs and outputs, and proprietary information remains within the institution’s firewall; any public-facing searches use only non-confidential queries to gather results.

Institutions interested in streamlining disclosure intake, developing stronger marketing materials, accelerating market intelligence, or exploring AI-enabled contract workflows are invited to request a GooseFarmAI demonstration ahead of the mid-November launch.
