PainQx is an early stage life science company with a patented method for objective, quantitative assessment of chronic pain. Our system addresses issues associated with the current standard of care (the Visual Analog Pain Scale: VAS or the Numeric Rating Scale: NRS) such as subjectivity and inaccuracy. PainQx’s platform obtains EEG data from a patient utilizing a mobile, low-cost electroencephalography device. The EEG data is then transported automatically to the cloud where it is processed by PainQx proprietary algorithms to provide an objective, quantitative assessment of pain which is then passed back to the clinician within minutes. The cloud-based PainQx processing service is delivered to the clinical environment on a pay-per-use or subscription basis.
