Director, Finance and Administration
With nearly two decades of experience in finance, administration, and strategic leadership, Merima Kaliç serves as the director of finance and administration for TOV. Leveraging a career that spans private sector consulting, public service, and higher education, Kaliç plays a key role in advancing the office’s mission to become the world’s leading university commercialization enterprise.
Before joining TOV, Kaliç spent 9 years at NYU Langone Health, where she partnered with non-clinical mission areas to manage sponsored research administration, financial planning, and analysis. There, she contributed to the development and oversight of the institution’s $3 billion annual non-clinical budget, demonstrating expertise in resource optimization and cross-functional collaboration.
Earlier in her career, Kaliç held roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), advising pharmaceutical and federal clients on audit and consulting matters. As a diplomat for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), she honed her ability to navigate complex financial and administrative challenges in diverse international contexts. She also supported ConEdison, advising on technical accounting matters for one of New York City’s most critical utility providers.
Kaliç brings a unique blend of technical financial expertise, operational excellence, and strategic vision to her current role. Her breadth of experience enables her to align the office’s financial and administrative operations with its ambitious goals of transforming groundbreaking research into global impact.
Kaliç holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King’s College and is passionate about fostering innovation through effective financial stewardship and administrative leadership.
